An Introduction to the inside of my head

An Introduction to the inside of my head

I've always felt the call of the unusual.  I have a natural connection with being in the country and love animals.  Bats, dragons, kittens, puppies, possums, elephants, owls, and wombats are among my favourites but I have trouble narrowing down the list. I see beauty in unusual places and things and that's ok with me.

I grew up in regional Victoria, in times where we made our own entertainment and using your imagination was encouraged.  We would meet out friends and explore the local creeks or forests, climb trees and create paths that lead only to places that existed totally within our minds.  When I was entering secondary school my family moved to Melbourne where I continued in school.

Living in the suburbs of Melbourne for many years was very difficult for me, but there are always some up sides.  I met my dearest friend, and my gorgeous husband, we first lived in a tiny little inner suburban flat which was about the size of our shed now.  We purchased our first little house in the outer south eastern suburbs and lived there with our dog and cat and eventually our son. After a couple of years we moved into a larger house in the same area and thought we were settled, but the call of the country had not gone away. It was not unusual for me to "need" to run away to the country at the weekend. It didn't really matter where I went, I just needed to recharge.

About 10 years ago we decided it was time to buy a business in the country so we sold our house, bought a Motel and moved to Hamilton in the west of the state.  We have recently relocated to Wodonga in the north to be closer to family who moved here some years ago.  The warmer weather up here suits me also so that's a bonus. Now living in a rural town and surrounded by an abundant garden I am more centred, able to focus and at peace.

I love to be surrounded by things that make my soul happy, unusual items, treasures, garden art, and beautiful smells. In Lilith's Gifts I want to share items I feel a connection with, sights and scents that help me to relax and enjoy the moment.

I love to dabble with magic, oils, incense, crystals, pretty much anything that grabs my attention in the moment.  I practice as I feel the need, but I always need to reconnect with nature.  My personal focus is the Moon, each month I set my intention under the full moon, I thank her for the highlights of the previous month, ask her to watch over family and friends and importantly ask her to keep sending me hints and messages of what I am supposed to adopt and reject in the coming month.

This blog will focus on things I find amusing, instructional and funny.

I try to choose not to allow negativity into my world and this is an ongoing project, I have a history of getting sucked into other people's drama but I'm determined to let this habbit go and let others make the mistakes I see coming to them.  I cannot be responsible for the actions of others who choose to surround themselves with drama.  Ew, that's all getting a bit heavy for my new outlook, so let's move on.

If you love the goodies in my store, subscribe to our email list for special offers If there is something you've been wanting to source but I don't have it in stock, just let me know and I'll be happy to try to locate it for you.  I love a treasure hunt!

Please also share tips and hints that keep you positive, bring abundance and happiness and help remove negativity.  There is no right or wrong for me, I do what feels like it belongs.  What is meant to be will be.
